| SAHARA'S SALTS | SERIES

Sold out

This series was inspired by Teguidda-n-Tessoumt, a tiny village in northern Niger, where the habitats extract sea from human-made salt ponds for many years.
The entire village is pockmarked with hundreds of salt ponds filled with pastel colored brine water, and each one displays a different shade of brown depending on the original color of the clay and the salinity of the solution. The ponds change tone as the sun’s rays shift their angle of reflection, the same as the paintings.
